You don’t need to be “Fit” to start CrossFit. However, you may be embarassed about your body shape or lack of fitness from many years of doing nothing. Basics class is a great way to start CrossFit without feeling overwhelmed by all the “super fit” people.
Starting with high intensity workouts with poor mechanics is not the CrossFit way. CrossFit prioritses excellent mechanics and virtuosity of movement performed consistently before adding intensity. Basics is a great way to focus on good mechanics with just enough intensity to get a sweat.
Starting with workouts within your current fitness level will make you feel empowered and encouraged to continue your fitness journey. Easy to stay consistent when you are achieve small milestones within the Basics environment.

This CrossFit class curriculum focuses on helping you get comfortable with exercise at a measured pace - challenging enough to see results, but not so intense that you feel discouraged, ensuring visible progress after just your first few sessions.
Each class begins with a brief overview and a 10–15 minute warm-up
Simple movements starting at low intensity and gradually progressing, perfect for beginners
Workouts vary each session to keep things fresh and engaging
Guidance from internationally certified CrossFit coaches who encourage and support each member
A small group of fellow beginners training alongside you
Muscle strength and endurance built gradually without shocking your system
